Boston Herald columnist has good things to say about Youth Villages’ work with families in Massachusetts

Boston Herald columnist Margery Eagan profiles Heather, a 12-year-old girl in Massachusetts who has battled emotional and behavioral problems since she was a toddler. Heather is making significant progress with the help of her Youth Villages in-home counselor.

The results have been astounding. Two years after receiving services, more than 80 percent of children served by Youth Villages remain successfully at home. Compare that to the well-documented struggles of adults raised in foster care or costly residential homes.

Youth Villages has three offices in Massachusetts — Lawrence, Woburn and Worcester — offering intensive in-home counseling for children and families.
