New AmeriCorps members begin their term of service at Inner Harbour

April 27, 2010

Ms. Frances Lindsey (second from left) shows new AmeriCorps members around the Inner Harbour campus.

New AmeriCorps members recently began their term of service at Youth Villages Inner Harbour Campus. Jake, Nicole, Chris, and Brad are from Michigan, Nevada, Georgia, and Ohio.

With the addition of these four, our AmeriCorps team is now comprised of 16 dynamic and energetic cultivators of experiential learning and fun. The photo is of three of the four new members and the sweet Ms. Lindsey, taken during their scavenger hunt to acclimate them to the layout of the campus.

Each year, AmeriCorps offers 75,000 opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve through a network of partnerships with local and national nonprofit groups addressing critical needs in communities all across America.

The Youth Villages Inner Harbour Campus just outside Atlanta in Douglasville, Ga., is a residential treatment center in which young people are immersed in a series of activities that progressively challenge their social, emotional, mental, and physical resources in an ideal setting to help build upon their strengths and overcome life’s most difficult challenges.
