December 7, 2010

Patience Sturtz stands outside her office with her MST award. Sturtz, a regional supervisor, manages a staff of 12 who serve more than 260 young people each year.

Patience Sturtz, regional supervisor, Hickory, N.C., recently received the annual Whatever It Takes award, given by MST Services, an organization that governs and accredits the practice of Multisystemic Therapy both in the United States and internationally.

From the more than 480 MST supervisors operating in 30 states and 12 countries, only one supervisor who demonstrates outstanding and meritorious service is selected for the annual award. Patience is the first employee in Youth Villages’ history to receive this prestigious honor.

Youth Villages’ MST consultant Gina Mayers nominated Sturtz.

“Her intensity, integrity and commitment to the fidelity of the MST model earned her the respect of co-workers and stakeholders throughout the state,” she said.
