Inaugural North Carolina baggo tournament a huge success
More than 100 baggo (commonly known as “cornhole”) players and guests gathered at Motorco Music Hall in Durham, N.C., for the inaugural Youth Villages Baggo Tournament, “It’s in the Bag!” – presented by the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. The community response was tremendous as the first-time event raised $3,396! Proceeds from the event will help the children that Youth Village serves in the Raleigh-Durham area participate in extracurricular activities they otherwise may be unable to afford, such as summer camps, after school programs and sports teams. Winners took home trophies designed by three youth who are currently being served by Youth Villages in the Raleigh-Durham area. Two youth, along with their mom, attended the event and shared their personal story of how Youth Villages has made an impact in their lives.
Congratulations to our winners:
1st Place – Lee Who?
2nd Place – All American Dudes
3rd Place – Eye Patches and Peg legs
